Hessian Needle Felting Mats Large and Small with Hand Stitched Leather Hide Finger Protectors. Pre filled in Green and Natural colours

A set of two pre-filled needle felting mats, with matching finger protectors. The Large size Mat is 12inch square. The Small size mat is 9 inch square. Both mat are very deeply filled with buckwheat husks to avoid the needle reaching your knees or working area. Buckwheat husks are a lovely filling to work with. The mats are very generously filled yet nice and light tow work with. The mats are hessian on both sides you are are able to choose on side for your darker wool and the other for lighter colours. I double up my hessian on both sides to give the mats a much longer life span. My leather hide finger protectors are lovely thick hide so that the needle has absolutely on chance of penetration. I came up with these hide finger protectors years ago when I fist started needle felting. I was using thin leather protectors at the time....as I got faster with my felting the needle would pierce straight through. It was the same with the sponge that I started out with. after pricking my knees on multiple occasions I opted for a home made solution. If you have any question please do drop me a message.
