Harris Tweed Squid Plush Toy, Cushion, Art Doll. Hand Crafted 100% Wool Creepy Sea Monster.
This is a rather large squid fellow. He's stuffed quite firmly in order to define his shaped so although he could be a plush toy or a fabulous display cushion....he's not what you would call soft or squishy.
I simply love working with wool and Harris Tweed fabric in particular....so I thought...how about a Harris Tweed Squid. This has made him very unusual...certainly...rare...and even a little creepy as squid are not the kindest of sea creatures. In any case I love him and I feel certain that others will too.
He's 66cm Long, 32cm Wide on the head from fin to fin, 47.5cm circumference around the eye and 61cm circumference around the top of the tentacles.
I will be making your squid to order so please allow me one or two days extra to deliver him.
Harris Tweed® is more than a unique handwoven textile, it is also a story about a real place with a rich history and culture, beautiful landscape and vibrant communities located in Scotland’s remote and beautiful islands of the Outer Hebrides.
There is only one Harris Tweed®. Harris Tweed® is one of the world’s great textiles and the only one with a unique provenance preserved by an Act of Parliament and protected by the world-famous Orb Certification Mark certified by the Harris Tweed Authority. For many generations the islanders of Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra in Scotland’s wild and beautiful Outer Hebrides have woven cloth in their own homes, known as Harris Tweed®.
As well as being natural, biodegradable, non-allergenic and water-repellent, Harris Tweed® is and beautiful, durable....made with the highest quality and craftsmanship.

A big thank you to to Dermot O'Grady at Crafty Kooka for designing this Sewing Pattern. https://ww.etsy.com/ie/shop/CraftyKooka
The only slight deviation from the pattern is my little addition of the squids claws in the middle if the tentacles.
